How to delete your data from Scrumbly

Your Data Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. You can choose to delete specific types of data while keeping your account active, or delete your entire account along with all associated data.

Types of Data You Can Delete

Location History

Clear all stored location data and disable location tracking

Search History

Remove your search queries and browsing history within the app

Saved Preferences

Delete saved restaurants, deals, and personalization settings

Marketing Data

Opt out of marketing and delete associated preference data

How to Request Data Deletion

Method 1: Through the App

  1. Open Scrumbly and go to Settings
  2. Select "Privacy & Data"
  3. Choose "Manage My Data"
  4. Select the data types you want to delete
  5. Confirm your selection

Method 2: Email Request

Send a data deletion request to:

support@scrumbly.app

Please specify:

  • Your registered email address
  • Types of data you want deleted
  • Whether you want to keep your account active

Processing Timeline

  • Acknowledgment: Within 48 hours of your request
  • Verification: We may need to verify your identity (1-2 business days)
  • Deletion: Completed within 30 days of verification
  • Confirmation: You'll receive email confirmation when complete

Exceptions to Data Deletion

We may retain certain data when legally required:

  • Transaction records for tax compliance (7 years)
  • Data subject to legal hold or investigation
  • Anonymized aggregate data for analytics
  • Data necessary to detect fraud or security incidents
  • Records of your deletion request for compliance purposes

Data Portability

Before deleting your data, you can request a copy of your personal information in a machine-readable format. Email us at support@scrumbly.app to request your data export.
