Delete Your Account
We respect your right to delete your account and associated data at any time. When you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal information from our systems.
How to Delete Your Account
From within the Scrumbly app:
- Open the Scrumbly app on your device
- Navigate to your Profile/Account Settings
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and scheduled for deletion
Alternative method via email:
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at:
support@scrumbly.app
Please include your registered email address and we will process your request within 48 hours.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
- Immediate deactivation: Your account is immediately deactivated and inaccessible
- Data deletion: Personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Rewards & deals: All unredeemed rewards and saved deals are lost
- Transaction history: Purchase history may be retained for legal/tax purposes (anonymized)
- Reviews: Public reviews may remain but will be anonymized
Data We Delete
When you delete your account, we remove:
- Your name and contact information
- Email address and phone number
- Location history and preferences
- Saved restaurants and deals
- Payment methods (except transaction records required by law)
- App usage data and analytics
- Profile photos and uploaded content
Data We Retain
For legal compliance, we may retain certain anonymized data:
- Transaction records (anonymized) for tax and accounting purposes
- Records required by law enforcement or legal proceedings
- Aggregated analytics data that cannot identify you
Reactivation
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Scrumbly again, you will need to create a new account. Your previous data, rewards, and history cannot be restored.
